Kettlebell Exercises for Runners

Wednesday, November 11th. 6:00 to 6:30PM

The course will begin with a warm up focused on reaching end range of motion, prepping the musculature for exertion and raising the body’s temperature. This will prepare the body for the tasks at hand. Varied stretches will be shown that counter the negative effects of sitting for long periods. Varied movements for powering up hills, stabilizing the core and strengthening legs will be shown. After the warm up we provide guidance and technique clarification for safe movement and protection of joints.

  • Develop and improve core strength, endurance and work capacity.
  • Derived from a functional movement standing-point, teaches maximal hip extension and production and reduction of force.
  • Links the upper and lower body together as one unit.
  • Teaches your body to contend with constantly changing left of gravity.


  • Power up hills through enhanced strength in both arms and legs.
  • Core strength will help prevent form breakdown on long runs.
  • Reduce fatigue & lengthen endurance capacity.
  • Improved cardio platform.
