About This Activity
The 1st ever Alhambra Pumpkin Run will get crackin' on Saturday, October 4th at 9am!
The Alhambra Pumpkin Run is a fundraising event. Benefiting Alhambra's City Parks & Recreation Sports Scholarships for students to provide more fun and more play opportunities for young and the young-at-heart. This event is open to runners, walkers, and everyone in between.
The race start will begin on the west side of Alhambra Park taking you down Palm Avenue and through the streets of Alhambra, Califorina. Pace your run as you view the San Gabriel mountains and enjoy the beautiful California weather in autumn.
Run from Palm Ave to Alhambra Road, over to Olive Ave and then to Vine St. Turn right on to Larch St and back to Vine St. The 5K will end back on Palm Ave with a huge festival and concert until 3pm. What fun! There will be food trucks, vendors, a health expo, kids games and fun for the entire family! Come out to the 626 for a Saturday of fun in the park.

We'll be hosting the following at our Alhambra 5K for your pleasure and leisure. Please plan on staying for our festival and visiting our activities for you and the entire family:
- Food Trucks
- Live Music / Bands
- Live and interactive fitness demos
- Dance performances
- Kids games, bouncers and fitness games
- Face painting & balloons
- Local clothing, jewelry and more vendors for your shopping pleasure
- Pumpkin pie making contest (make the pie at home and bring it to the 5k - interested in competing? e: firstname.lastname@example.org)
- Pumpkin carving contest (carve the pumpkin at home and bring it to the 5K - interested in competing? e: email@example.com)
Please park in available street and residential areas. Please be mindful of parking restrictions and parking signs. If you live close, please walk to the park. That will help us out! And save parking for other runners/walkers.
What do I bring to the 5K?:
Please bring/wear your running shoes, breathable shorts/bottoms and top. We will be giving you a 5K participants t-shirt and you may wear that during the run if you wish. You may dress up if you wish! Have fun with it! It's Halloween season and we encourage you to dress up for Halloween or as a pumpkin. You may wear ORANGE, BLACK and WHITE to stay in the theme of the run too! Get creative! We will.
The festival is in the park after the 5K, so feel free to bring:
- Picnic basket, etc...
- Water (stay hydrated)
- Folding chairs
- Camera (take photos and share them on your social media site and Hashtag #AlhambraPumpkinRun so that we may view all of our 626er's photos!)
