About This Activity
September 15th marks the beginning of National Hispanic Heritage Month, with this year’s theme being “Team Kirtland: Different Stories, Different Roots, Juntos Unidos (Together United)”. Since 1988, we have observed Hispanic Heritage Month by celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
Team Kirtland is celebrating the diversity of its members with a 5k Fun Run, starting at Hardin Field headed east on Frost Road towards the Eubank Gate, turning north onto the perimeter road behind the Family Campground, then heading southwest on "A" Street in front of the Billeting Office, onto Golden Smoke road, back onto Frost Road, back towards Hardin Field. Once the runners arrive at Hardin Field they will be required to run one lap around the field then onto the Finish Line...A portion of our proceeds will go to Presbyterian Oncology Pediatrics & Ronald McDonald House of Albuquerque.
