Iron Horse 5k for ALS
Sun, Nov 16, 2014
About This Activity
The First Annual Iron Horse 5k takes you through the beautiful University of New Mexico campus. You'll start at Johnson Field on the Northeast side of campus before you continue toward the historic Zimmerman Library and Duck Pond. After a loop around the pond, you'll continue toward UNM's oldest and most historic building, Hodgin Hall. When you finish back at Johnson Field, you'll be greeted by an eager crowd to cheer you on.
Amytrophic Lateral Sclerosis is a neurodegenerative disease that slowly shuts down a person's ability to move, speak, and even breathe. Unlike other diseases, we have very little information about what causes ALS and how we can prevent it. Please come support a worthy cause!
