About This Activity

The First Responders 5k Run/Walk is a race that is intended to turn the tragic events of October 26, 2013 into a day of remembrance and of perseverance.  The event will feature welcoming speeches from BCSO Deputy Robin Hopkins and APD Officer Simon Drobik, both who were involved in the police chase and officer shootings on October 26, 2013.  Please join us and hear more about their incredible strength and personal journeys to recovery.

This event is also an opportunity to welcome community support and foster community relations between first responders and the communities they serve.  Please join us in building our community ties, and register today for this inaugural 5k run/walk!!  There will also be a Kids' K free of charge before the awards ceremony, so please register your family today!!  All proceeds from this event will benefit the Ten-82 fund, a fund created to assist fallen first responders and their families.

There will be no shirts distributed at this event.
