About No Child Wet Behind
No Child Wet Behindis a 501c3 dedicated to awareness, education and the donation of diapers to needy families with infants and small children.
When a family struggles to, or is not able to provide diapers for their child, the family is affected both physically and emotionally.
Programs exist to assist families with basic necessities such as food, shelter and clothing, but surprisingly, diaper need is not supported by any government program.
No Child Wet Behindbegan as a local diaper drive and fundraiser with a 5k run when owners of Northeast Doulas, a New York based Doula agency learned of the struggle needy families were having keeping their babies clean and dry.
Starting in 2016 No Child Wet Behind events will occur around the United States in support of this important cause and to benefit local charities in need of diapers.
Finisher Medals - All participants upon crossing the Finish Line will receive a finisher medal.
Golden Diaper Trophy -The Golden Diaper Trophy will be presented to the largest finishing 5K Team. It may be associated with an Alamogordo business, group or association. The Golden Diaper is a "traveling award." The trophy will be requested for return within two months of subsequent races.
Race Day Shirts: Participants are encouraged to wear their cotton/blend No Child Wet Behind Race Day Shirts (included with registration) to raise awareness about the many families in our community, and around the US, struggling with diaper need.
