About This Activity
First National Bank-Alamogordo, in conjunction with the City of Alamogordo, is proud to announce that the first annual Lady of the Mountain Half Marathon, HM Relay, 10K, 5K Fun Run/Walk and NMSU-A Social Sciences Club 1 Mile Fun Run will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2014 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. The run departs Griggs Sports Complex and heads East to Scenic Drive. Scenic Drive is a hilly terrain that offers expansive views of White Sands National Monument and the beautiful Sacramento Mountains. Chiseled into the canyons and ridges of the Sacramento Mountains is the iconic image of the Lady of the Mountain. The half marathon travels to the end of Alamo Canyon Rd. then loops back to Griggs, looping through Desert Foothills Park. A challenging, but beautiful run. Proceeds from the Lady of the Mountain will benefit local college students on a needs-basis.
The HM Relay, a/k/a Corporate Cup, is an exciting chance for you and a co-worker to each run half of the half marathon, with the winning team receiving a trophy and the title of Corporate Champions.

Cost of 1-mile fun run is $10 and does not increase through registration period. Adult escorts for the run are FREE with paid youth registration.
Active.com registration closes 12/11/14. Late registration will be available at packet pick-up on 12/12/14. No race-day registration.

What: Lady of the Mountain Half Marathon, HM Relay, 10K, 5K Fun Run/Walk and NMSU-A Kids 1 Mile Fun Run
When: Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 8 AM
Where: Start and finish at Griggs Sports Complex, Alamogordo, NM
Purpose: Benefits the Lady of the Mountain Scholarship at NMSU-Alamogordo. This is a needs-based scholarship.
Divisions: Men's and Women's Age Categories--HM, 10K and 5K (1st, 2nd, 3rd place finishers in each division will receive an special medal):
10 - 14 years old
15 - 19 years old
20 - 29 years old
30 - 39 years old
40 - 49 years old
50 - 59 years old
60 - 69 years old
70 & older
Cash Awards: Half Marathon Only:
Overall Top 3 Men - 1st place $350, 2nd place $250, 3rd place $175
Overall Top 3 Women - 1st place $350, 2nd place $250, 3rd place $175
Master's (40+) Top 3 Men - 1st place $150, 2nd place $100, 3rd place $50
Master's (40+) Top 3 Women - 1st place $150, 2nd place $100, 3rd place $50
All Half Marathon, Half Marathon Relay, 10k and 5k participants upon crossing the Finish Line will receive a finisher medal for their respective race.
Corporate Cup Trophy
The Corporate Cup trophy will be presented to the top finishing Half Marathon Relay Team that is associated with an Alamogordo business or association. The Corporate Cup Trophy is a "traveling award." The trophy will be requested for return within two months of subsequent races.

Race Refunds / Transfers
Refunds / transfers are not allowed with the exception of race cancellation due to extreme weather conditions.
Alamogordo has a temperate climate with relatively scarce precipitation. However, as prudent hosts of the event with a safety first attitude, race officials may delay, change, or cancel the event in the case of extreme weather or other conditions that may affect the safety and health of the participants.
