About This Activity

The North Central Florida Chapter of the American College of Nurse Midwives is hosting the Women's Wellness 5K Walk/Run at the beautiful San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park, in Alachua, FL. This year the race will benefit women and families of Haiti, with 100% of the proceeds being directly donated to teaching Home Based Life Saving Skills (HBLSS) at Klinik Lasante in Leogane, Haiti.

This will be the second event of its kind to be held at San Felasco State Park. The park is home to bobcats, white-tailed deer, gray foxes, turkeys, and many species of songbirds. This off-road race will traverse fields, forest, and meadow, giving runners ample opportunity to enjoy Florida nature at its finest.

At certain points, the race course will intersect with bike or horse trails. There will be trail marshals and signs at these points, to avoid any potential confusion and keep runners on track. To learn more about the environment at San Felasco, please check out the information found on the website of the Friends of San Felasco.

So please, come and enjoy the crisp November air with family, friends, and coworkers...while running for a cause!
