About This Activity

About This Activity

All of our races are timed with real people and timing clocks, no chips. You will receive a rubber band for each lap completed and when you have the required number, you turn them in and get your finish time.

We cannot control the weather, but we try VERY HARD not to have to cancel any race. If dangerous weather happens, we can stop the clocks and have all the runners wait it out in your cars. We will resume when it is safe, no matter how long that is. (Big marathons cannot do this, they often have time limits on how long roads can be closed.)

You will receive a separate medal for each race in a series. Many series have a main medal along with a separate one for each state that can be hung from the main medal. State medals can also be hung by themselves. There is always another special medal for those who finish every day in a series; be it a marathon, half or combination

Join us for the 4th annual Central Park Marathon and Half Marathon. Register early and save! You can also get that great Central Park hoodie mailed to you if you like! Courses: The  marathon will start around East 95th street, complete 5 lower loops of the park through the 102nd Street transverse , and then finish on the 102nd Street transverse

Central Park Half Marathon course will take you on a beautiful tour of Central Park.  The race begins on East Drive at 100th St. Runners will run across the 102nd St. transverse, turning left onto West Drive heading south.  Runners will go around the bottom of the park and then head north on East Drive.  Runners will then turn left at the 72nd St. transverse, running across the park to West Drive, where they will turn left on West Drive and head south around the bottom of the park.  Runners will then head north on East Drive completing one full loop of the park (yes, that includes the Harlem Hills) and finishing on the 102nd St. transverse

Awards: Awards and prize money will be given to the top three male and female runners overall as follows: $250 for 1st Place, $100 for 2nd Place, and $50 for 3rd Place. Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female runners in each race and the top 3 in each ten year age group.

The Course Have you got what it takes to conquer W.A.R? The W.A.R. course is now even bigger and better at our new location at Woodhall Estate in Hertford. We’ve got more obstacles, more varied terrain, and more challenges and the last event was our best W.A.R. yet! 10k Route This is a tough 10k run including lots of obstacles, hills, water and muddy terrain. 5k Route The 5k route is an easier and shorter route than the 10k. Still includes lots of obstacles, but fewer hills. Obstacles The obstacles and course are designed by the expert Regiment Fitness team. They will challenge the fittest athletes to their limits. The Regiment Fitness Instructors are on hand for the beginners to assist on all obstacles should you need a little help. We’ve got plenty of obstacles for you to tackle along the way from the giant steps and the zip line to the tunnels and water obstacles, with plenty of other climbing and sliding obstacles scattered along the hilly, muddy route. We’ll also have some brand new obstacles for you to tackle – the next W.A.R. will be the toughest yet!
