Through our Facebook community, local rides and cycling events, we strive to promote and grow cycling and bicycle tourism within the Joplin and regionally with neighboring clubs and events; through awareness, activity, advocacy and reward.
The Joplin Roadrunners is a group of local runners of all ages and abilities. We meet on the second Thursday of every month to share our experiences, encourage one another, preview upcoming races and enjoy one another's fellowship. It is our goal to promote and foster running in the Joplin area. Check this Website for meeting locations and time. Follow us on Facebook for the most current posts and activities! Also visit our website - www.joplinroadrunners.com - for more info! The Joplin Roadrunners is a local chapter of the RRCA.
The Joplin Trails Coalition is a group dedicated to creating and maintaining walking and biking trails in and around Joplin, Webb City, Carthage, Oronogo and Carl Junction Missouri. We currently have two trail projects: the Frisco Greenway Trail that runs through Joplin and Webb City, and the Ruby Jack Trail that goes from Carthage, MO through Oronogo, Carl Junction, and on to the Kansas State Line. Both of these trails are "Rails To Trails" projects, meaning they are former railroads that have been converted to multi-use trails. The trails are created and maintained via the hard work of several volunteers and generous donations from individuals and businesses throughout the community. We invite you to come and explore the trails in person and to get involved with the trails by joining the Joplin Trails Coalition, volunteering on trail work days, and by supporting our annual Route 66 Mother Road Bicycle Tour and the Maple Leaf Tour.
The Red Sea Fitness Team is much more than teaching physical wellness. Our approach consists of multiple Biblical components that emphasize total well-being; financial, mental, emotional, physical, and mostly spiritual. Since our small and slightly shortsighted beginning in 2013, nearly 500 family team members have completed their first 5K run, some even competing in 10K, half marathon, and marathon events.
